Cornbread Dressing a la' Brenda Seabolt

Hey y'all...You can find the recipe for the best darn cornbread dressing at the bottom of this post. And you will want to save it, download it, print it, and use it during the holidays because it's seriously good stuff! Of course, I think it's the BEST because it's what my Moma makes. Seems like everyone's Moma makes the best dressing!! LOL Well, trust me when I say this: my Moma's dressing is legendary stuff and it's a shame we only expect dressing a few times a year!! Served with a gallon or two of turkey gravy, you'll think you've died and gone to cornbread Heaven! Even if you don't like onions or celery, her method makes those items blend in so well that you'd never know they were there!! So, be optimistic and make this dressing!! And be sure to comment or share this recipe. It's totally worth sharing!!

When's the last time you had really good dressing? The kind that calls to you and haunts your dreams? Haaa!! Ok, so I'm being a bit dramatic but hot diggity dog, I'm serious about my cornbread dressing! Don't call it stuffing, because it's not. Stuffing is a Northern term applied to a sad dish consisting of soft, non-corn based breads, seasoned and sometimes baked inside the bird or served baked in a dish. Don't get me wrong--I'm sure there are people who make very good stuffing, but in my opinion, stuffing is a poor substitute for cornbread dressing and I'm not having any part of it. Do you have a family recipe that you're really proud of? I'd love to hear about it!

Scroll through via the arrow to take a look at these photos I took during the dressing-making process! Even my little dog gets excited about dressing. Can you spot him??
